Our mission is to provide high quality language courses and translations and to support our students and teachers to develop both personally and professionally. As Founder and Full Member of QUEST - The Romanian Association for Quality Language Services, PROSPER-ASE Language Centre also promotes and guarantees the provision of language teaching and other language services of the highest possible quality standards through the establishment of a quality assurance scheme. As co-ordinator and partner in several European language projects, PROSPER-ASE Language Centre supports:
- the development of new and modern assessment instruments and techniques,
- learning and teaching of Less Widely Used Languages (LWULT),
- multilingualism and multiculturality.
The European Language Portfolio was translated and piloted in Romania by PROSPER-ASE Language Centre with the support of QUEST Romania.
1994 - 2006: YEARS OF EXCELLENCE IN LANGUAGE TRAINING AND TRANSLATION
12 years by now ...
Still it's good to remember how everything started and it gives us and also to all our students, collaborators and partners the feeling that we DID IT!
Here are some steps to remember:
- In 1994, PROSPER - ASE Language Centre is set up as an NGO with the support of the British Council Romania.

In 1996, it becomes a Founder Member of the National Association for Quality Language Services – QUEST Romania.
- PROSPER-ASE is a Founder Member of the European Consortium EUPHARIA - Translating the Phare Languages.
- The centre staff were awarded The Certificate for Advanced Studies in Education by the Institute for English Language Education, Lancaster University, Great Britain.
- It is a partner of the Ministry of Education in providing teacher training and acknowledged as an adult continuing education institution.
- In 1999, the centre started to be involved in European Projects.
